how big is a wolf spider

Wolf spiders are usually small to medium-sized, with most adults having a body length of about 0.4 to 1.4 inches (roughly 1 to 3.5 cm), not counting their legs. When you include the legs, many common wolf spiders span around the size of a quarter to a few inches across, while the very largest species can reach leg spans of about 3 to 4.7 inches (up to roughly 12 cm), which can look close to “palm-sized.”
