how do i get back to the starting area in elden ring

Go to The Four Belfries in Liurnia of the Lakes, grab the Imbued Sword Key from the top chest, and use it on the waygate labeled Precipice of Anticipation to teleport back to the Chapel of Anticipation —the starting area of Elden Ring.

Route

1. From The First Step , head north through Limgrave toward Liurnia.
2. Travel to The Four Belfries on the hill west/northwest of Raya Lucaria Academy.
3. Open the chest at the top to get an Imbued Sword Key.
4. Use that key on the correct belfry waygate.
5. You’ll arrive back at the starting area, where you can fight the Grafted Scion again and collect the nearby rewards.

Small caveat

There are multiple belfry portals, and only one sends you back to the starter area, so make sure you use the one marked Precipice of Anticipation. After that, you can explore the Chapel of Anticipation more fully, including the items there.
