how do i schedule an instagram post

You can schedule an Instagram post in the app by creating the post as usual, then opening More options / Advanced settings before you share it, turning on Schedule this post , and choosing the date and time. Instagram’s help page says this feature is available for scheduled posts and Reels, and you can later manage them from the scheduled content area in the app.

Steps

1. Tap + to create a new post or Reel.

2. Select your photo or video and tap Next.

3. Add your caption, tags, location, and edits.

4. Open More options or Advanced settings.

5. Turn on Schedule this post.

6. Pick the date and time, then confirm the schedule.

What you need

Instagram’s scheduling feature is commonly described as available on professional accounts such as business or creator accounts. If you’re on a personal account, switching to a professional account is usually the first step.

After you schedule

You can review scheduled posts from the app’s scheduled content area, where you can edit, reschedule, publish immediately, or delete them. The time you choose uses your device’s current time zone.

If the schedule option does not appear, the most likely reasons are that the account is still personal, the app is outdated, or the feature is not enabled for that post type yet.
