How do you attach a photo of an item you are returning on ebay as it was incorrect item
You can attach a photo in an eBay return by adding it when you start the return, or by sending it through eBay Messages if the return is already open. eBay’s return flow lets you include photos with the request, and those photos stay attached to the return record.
How to add the photo
- Go to My eBay or your Purchase history.
- Find the item and choose Return this item or Request a return.
- In the return form, look for the option to add photos or attach images.
- Select the photo from your device and submit the return.
If the return is already started
- Open the order in My eBay.
- Use Contact seller or Messages.
- Choose the attach photo option and send the image there.
Useful tips
- Keep the photo clear and well lit so the wrong-item issue is obvious.
- Don’t include private information in the background.
- If possible, photograph the item next to the packaging or label for context.
Important note
Photos attached to an eBay return may not be removable after submission.
