how do you see who liked your instagram post

You can see who liked your Instagram post directly from the app in just a few taps.

Quick Scoop

On the Instagram mobile app (iPhone or Android)

  1. Open the Instagram app and log into your account.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the bottom-right corner to go to your profile.
  3. Scroll to find the post (photo, video, or reel) you’re curious about, then tap it to open.
  4. Under the post, look for the text near the heart icon that says something like:
    • “Liked by [username] and others” or
    • Just a number like “45 likes” (if counts are visible).
  5. Tap either:
    • the “others” text, or
    • the number of likes.
  6. A full list of accounts that liked that post will appear. You can scroll through it and tap any profile to view it.

If your like counts are hidden publicly, you can still see the list of people who liked your own post using the same method—only others may not see the total number.

On Instagram in a browser (desktop)

  1. Go to instagram.com and log in.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner to open your profile.
  3. Click the post you want to check.
  4. Under the post, click the like count (or “Liked by [name] and others”).
  5. A pop-up will show the list of users who liked the post.

A couple of extra notes

  • You cannot see who has merely viewed a regular feed post; you can only see who liked or commented.
  • For Stories , you can swipe up on your own story while it’s active to see a viewer list; that’s separate from post likes.
  • If a post has no likes , you won’t see the “liked by…” text or a like count to tap.

TL;DR: Open your post → tap the like text/number underneath → scroll the list to see everyone who liked it.
