how does apple watch go on wrist

The Apple Watch goes on your wrist with the band snug, the sensors resting against the back of your wrist, and the watch positioned just above the wrist bone for a good fit.

How to wear it

  1. Open the band and place the watch on top of your wrist.
  2. Wrap the band around your wrist and fasten it so it feels secure, but not too tight.
  1. Keep the back of the watch flat against your skin so the heart-rate sensors can work properly.
  1. Wear it slightly above the wrist bone, not loose near the hand.

Left or right wrist

You can wear Apple Watch on either wrist, but you should set the wrist and Digital Crown orientation in the Watch settings so the controls feel natural.

Quick fit check

A good fit means the watch stays in place when you move, but you can still slide a finger under the band. If it’s too loose, sensor readings can be less reliable.

Simple example

If you wear it on your left wrist, the Digital Crown is usually on the right side of the watch; if you wear it on your right wrist, change the orientation setting so the buttons match that side.

The main goal is comfort plus contact: snug enough for sensing, loose enough to breathe.
