how does the intuit dome blow air

The Intuit Dome “blows air” by combining natural ventilation with a seat- level HVAC system, so fresh air comes in through the building envelope and is then delivered under the seats. The result is that fans get air from below instead of from big overhead ducts.

How it works

  • The dome’s roof and outer skin are partly open and angled to work with prevailing winds, which helps pull fresh air through the building and cool surfaces naturally.
  • Inside the arena bowl, air conditioning is distributed through small vents below the stands, sending low-velocity air directly to each seat.
  • The arena is designed for 100% fresh air at all times, which is unusual for an indoor sports venue.

Why it feels different

This setup is meant to make the space feel cooler and less stuffy without blasting air from the ceiling. It also helps the venue use less energy while keeping comfort more even across the seating bowl.

Quick Scoop

In plain English: the Intuit Dome uses the wind and its open-air design to bring in fresh air, then pushes conditioned air up from under your seat.
