how many rings can you wear in oblivion

In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, you can normally wear two rings at the same time per character, using one slot for each hand.

Quick Scoop

  • Standard Oblivion lets your character equip:
    • 2 rings
    • 1 amulet/necklace (plus your other gear slots)
  • You cannot equip more than one copy of the exact same unique ring (like multiple Rings of Perfection) at once, even if you somehow own several.
  • If you are only able to wear one ring, it’s usually:
    • A mod or remaster rule change
    • A conflict with another jewelry item, or a bug/glitch.

What about “unlimited rings”?

Some mods for Oblivion and Oblivion Remastered remove the vanilla limit and allow you to equip as many rings as you want, sometimes with configurable caps (2, 4, 6, 10, 20, or fully unlimited). In other words, in modded Oblivion, the maximum number of rings is “as many as your mod settings allow.”
