how many senators are there for each state?

Every U.S. state has 2 senators in the United States Senate, no matter how big or small the state is.

This comes directly from the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 3), which states that “The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State,” a rule that has applied to all 50 states since 1959, giving a total of 100 senators.
