how to find the minecraft bedrock files
Quick Scoop: On Windows, Minecraft Bedrock files are usually inside the
Bedrock app data folder, commonly reached by opening Run with Win + R and
pasting
%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang,
or sometimes through the newer Minecraft Bedrock roaming path depending on
your version.
Where to look
The main folder you want is usually com.mojang, and inside it you’ll find
things like minecraftWorlds, resource packs, and behavior packs.
Fast path
- Press Win + R.
- Paste this path:
%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang
- Press Enter.
- Open
minecraftWorldsto see your worlds.
If that path does not open
Some newer guides mention a moved location under AppData\Roaming\Minecraft Bedrock\Users\... \games\com.mojang, so if the first path fails, check hidden
files and look for a Minecraft Bedrock folder in Roaming.
Helpful note
World folders in Bedrock often look like random strings rather than world names, so you may need to check modification dates to identify the one you want.
On other devices
- Android: commonly under
android/data/com.mojang.minecraftpeand then intogames/com.mojang.
- iPhone/iPad: use the Files app and look under the Minecraft folder, then
Gamesandcom.mojang.
Bottom line
If you’re on PC, start with the %localappdata%...com.mojang path first,
because that is the most consistently documented location for Bedrock files.
