To get the Crescent Key in WoW Classic, go to Dire Maul East and follow Pusillin as he runs through the instance; after you’ve chased and talked to him several times, he becomes hostile and drops the key when defeated.

Quick steps

1. Enter Dire Maul East in Feralas.
2. Find Pusillin near the start of the wing.
3. Talk to him, then follow him each time he runs off again.
4. Repeat the chase until he turns hostile.
5. Kill him and loot the Crescent Key ; it goes to the keyring and opens Dire Maul West and North.

What it’s for

The Crescent Key is used to open the doors to the West and North wings of Dire Maul, and it’s dropped by Pusillin in the East wing. One guide also notes that in Classic, the key is obtained from Pusillin after completing his chase event, and that everyone in the party receives it.

Small tip

A rogue with 300 Lockpicking can open some Dire Maul doors, but if you want the standard route, the Pusillin run is the normal way to get the key.
