how to get the splatoon villagers in animal crossing
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons , you get the Splatoon villagers by scanning the right Splatoon amiibo at the Nook Stop in Resident Services, then inviting the camper to your island. Cece is tied to amiibo like Shiver, Marina, Callie, Frye, Smallfry, Octoling, and Big Man can let you choose between Cece or Viché; Viché is tied to amiibo like Frye, Marie, Pearl, Inkling, and Big Man can also be used here.
How it works
- Go to Resident Services.
- Use the Nook Stop terminal.
- Select the option to invite an amiibo camper.
- Scan a compatible Splatoon amiibo.
- Talk to the villager in the campsite and complete their requests over several days to move them in.
Amiibo you need
- Cece : can be unlocked with certain Splatoon amiibo such as Shiver, Marina, Callie, Frye, Smallfry, and some Octoling figures.
- Viché : can be unlocked with certain Splatoon amiibo such as Frye, Marie, Pearl, and several Inkling figures.
- Big Man : works as a special case and lets you choose either Cece or Viché.
Items too
Scanning Splatoon amiibo also unlocks Splatoon-themed items in Nook Shopping, and those items are listed under the promotions/special goods section after the unlock is triggered. The collaboration is described as a permanent part of the game once you’ve updated to Version 3.0 and have eligible amiibo.
Important note
You do not get them through normal villager hunting or mystery islands; amiibo is the key method for these crossover villagers.
