how to get to archived emails in gmail

Archived Gmail messages are in All Mail , not a separate archive folder, and you can also find them with the search term in:archive or -in:inbox. Gmail Help says archived messages are removed from the Inbox but stay under All Mail , and you can send one back to your Inbox with Move to Inbox.

On computer

1. Open Gmail.
2. Click More in the left sidebar.
3. Open All Mail.
4. Find the message that does not have the Inbox label.

Search faster

Use the Gmail search bar and type:

• in:archive
• -in:inbox

Put it back in inbox

1. Open the archived email.
2. Click Move to Inbox.

Mobile

On the Gmail app, open the menu and go to All Mail. From there, you can open the message and choose Move to Inbox.
