To remove or change the number of guests on Toast POS, open the check in Table Service mode and tap the guest count button/icon in the check details, then enter the new number or set it to the desired count and tap Done. Toast says new orders default to one guest, and that guest count can be manually adjusted from the check screen.

Where to change it

• On the order/check screen, find the guest count in the check details.

• Tap it, update the number, and confirm.

• If you’re using Toast Tables, reservation party size can also be edited from Edit Reservation Details in the Number of guests field.

Important note

Toast’s support says the default guest count for new orders is one, and that behavior cannot be fully turned off; you can only adjust it manually for each order.
