how to upload a result to play cricket

To upload a cricket result in Play-Cricket, you generally need Results Administrator access, then go to your club site’s Admin area, open Results , find the fixture, and use the edit/result screen to enter the match result. After that, you can add or confirm the scorecard details and mark the result as confirmed with the tick instead of the red cross.

Basic steps

  1. Log in to your club’s Play-Cricket site with an account that has Results Administrator rights.
  1. Open the Admin area, then choose Results under the day-to-day section.
  1. Find the relevant fixture and click the edit icon or Edit Result.
  1. Enter the result, bonus points if needed, and save.
  1. If you are also entering the scorecard, select the teams, enter innings details, and save the scorecard.
  1. Return to the results page and change the red cross to a green tick to confirm the result.

If you used PCS

If the match was scored in Play-Cricket Scorer or PCS Pro and uploaded from there, the result and scorecard should populate automatically, and you just need to check them and confirm.

Common issues

  • If you cannot see Admin options, your account probably does not have the right role yet.
  • If the scorecard does not match the result, Play-Cricket may warn you before submission.
  • Once the league locks results, changes usually require the league to unlock them first.

One-line version

Log in as a Results Administrator, go to Admin > Results, edit the fixture, enter the result and scorecard, save, then confirm it with the tick.
