what are dark types weak to

Dark-type Pokémon are weak to Fighting , Bug , and Fairy moves, which all hit them for super-effective damage in the mainline games.

In battle terms, Dark-type takes 2× damage from three types:

• Fighting
• Bug
• Fairy

These weaknesses apply regardless of generation from Gen 6 onward, when Fairy was introduced and added as a new Dark weakness. Before that, Dark was only weak to Fighting and Bug.

On the flip side, Dark is immune to Psychic moves and resists both Dark and Ghost attacks, so while it has clear counters, it also comes with strong defensive perks in the current games.
