what items were the Merari responsible for with the tabernacle kjv
The sons of Merari were responsible for the structural parts of the tabernacle: the boards, bars, pillars, sockets, and all the related equipment. They also handled the courtyard posts , bases, pegs, and cords.
In KJV wording, Numbers 3:36 says their charge included:
- The boards of the tabernacle.
- The bars thereof.
- The pillars thereof.
- The sockets thereof.
- All the vessels thereof, and all that served thereto.
- The pillars of the court round about, with their sockets, pins, and cords.
Numbers 4:31-32 gives the same idea more specifically: they carried the frames , bars , pillars , bases , and the items for the court.
