The main closures for Sunday’s NYC Pride March are on Fifth Avenue and the surrounding cross streets in Manhattan, with the core route running from 26th Street to 8th Street and additional closures around Christopher Street, Greenwich Avenue, and parts of 7th Avenue.

Streets closed

  • 5th Avenue between 33rd Street and 25th Street for formation, then 25th Street to 8th Street for the parade route.
  • West/East 33rd Street through 26th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue for staging and formation.
  • West 8th Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue.
  • Greenwich Avenue between 6th Avenue and Christopher Street.
  • Christopher Street between Greenwich Avenue and 7th Avenue South.
  • 7th Avenue between Christopher Street and 16th Street.
  • Dispersal-related closures on 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th Streets near 6th Avenue to 9th Avenue.

Timing

The parade is set for Sunday , and one city notice says street closures begin early, with some areas closing around 4 a.m. , while the march itself is scheduled later in the morning. A newer local report also says the main route closure on Fifth Avenue is in effect during the event window Sunday.

Practical travel note

If you’re driving or taking a rideshare, the biggest slowdown will be near Midtown and Greenwich Village , especially around Fifth Avenue, Christopher Street, and 7th Avenue. The easiest workaround is usually to plan an alternate route well east or west of the parade zone.
