when does benedict find sophie
In the Bridgerton book “An Offer from a Gentleman,” Benedict first meets Sophie at the Bridgerton masquerade ball, where she is his mysterious “Lady in Silver,” but he does not learn her real identity that night and she disappears at midnight. He later “finds” her again years after the ball, when he comes upon Sophie working as a servant and rescues her from an attempted assault by his acquaintance Phillip; he still does not realize she is the same masked woman he fell for at the ball.
He finally discovers that Sophie is the Lady in Silver much later, in the nursery at his mother Violet’s house, when he sees her wearing a blindfold and recognizes her as the masked woman from the masquerade.
