when ninja trader say you have concurrent coonections anf you dont how do I reset it

If NinjaTrader says you have concurrent connections but you don’t, the usual fix is to log out everywhere, disconnect inside NinjaTrader, and then restart the platform. NinjaTrader’s help says active connections can be disconnected from the Connections menu, and multi-provider or preferred- connection settings can also affect how sessions are counted.

What to do

  1. In NinjaTrader, go to Connections and disconnect every active connection you see. NinjaTrader says active providers show a disconnect option there.
  1. Close NinjaTrader completely, then reopen it. A full restart helps clear stuck session states and reload the platform cleanly.
  1. Check whether you’re signed in on another device, browser tab, or another NinjaTrader window. Some providers count each login as a separate concurrent session.
  1. If you use Multi-provider mode, review it in Tools > Options because connection behavior can depend on that setting.
  1. If the message keeps coming back, remove and recreate the connection or ask your broker/provider to clear the session on their side, since some connection limits are enforced server-side.

If the problem is really “stuck”

Sometimes the platform thinks a session is still open after a crash or bad disconnect. In that case:

  • Disconnect all connections.
  • Fully exit NinjaTrader.
  • Wait a minute or two.
  • Start it again and reconnect once.

If you’re trying to clear a different issue, like stale order or data records, NinjaTrader’s database management reset options can help, but that is a separate step and should be used carefully.

Most likely fix

The fastest path is usually:

  • disconnect everything,
  • close NinjaTrader,
  • make sure you are not logged in elsewhere,
  • reopen and reconnect once.

I can also give you the exact menu path for your NinjaTrader version if you want.
