where did chloe kim grow up

Chloe Kim grew up in Southern California, mainly in the Los Angeles area.

She was born in Long Beach/Torrance, California, and the first home she remembers is in Cypress in Orange County. As a kid she started snowboarding at Mountain High in the San Gabriel Mountains and later trained a lot at Mammoth Mountain while living in La Palma, California. Between ages 8 and 10 she also spent a couple of years living and training in Geneva, Switzerland, before returning to California, but her primary upbringing was in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area.
