where is castaic

Castaic is an unincorporated community in northwestern Los Angeles County, in Southern California, United States, just off Interstate 5 and roughly 38–40 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. It sits near Castaic Lake, a major reservoir and recreation area that serves both as part of California’s State Water Project and as a popular spot for boating and fishing.
