Pentos in House of the Dragon is a Free City of Essos, across the Narrow Sea from Westeros, on the eastern side of the Bay of Pentos. In the show, the Pentos scenes were filmed at Castillo de La Calahorra in La Calahorra, Granada, Spain.

In the story

Pentos is a wealthy port city and trading hub, so it often comes up in Targaryen-related plotlines. It’s also the place where Daemon Targaryen and Laena Velaryon were living with their daughters during part of the timeline.
