Elena Rybakina is from Moscow, Russia, and she represents Kazakhstan in professional tennis.

She was born on 17 June 1999 in Moscow, in the Russian Federation, and grew up and trained there. In 2018, she changed her sporting nationality and became a Kazakhstani citizen after an offer of support from the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation, and since then she has competed on tour for Kazakhstan.
