Seychelles is an island country in the western Indian Ocean, off the east coast of Africa, northeast of Madagascar and roughly east of Kenya.

It is an archipelago of about 115–155 tropical islands spread between roughly 4°–11° south of the Equator and 46°–56° east longitude, making it one of the world’s more remote island destinations.
