where to find my atar
You find your ATAR through your state’s official results/tertiary admissions service, using the login details you used for exam or results registration.
Where to find your ATAR
Use the service for your state or territory (they all release ATARs online on a set results day):
- VIC (VCE): VCE Results and ATAR Service website or app, using your VCAA student number and password.
- NSW/ACT (HSC): UAC (Universities Admissions Centre) online account; ATARs are calculated and released through UAC.
- QLD: QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre) ATAR account, using the email/ID you registered with in Year 12.
- SA/NT: SATAC (South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre) – ATAR for SACE/NTCET students appears in your SATAC/Students Online access.
- WA: TISC (Tertiary Institutions Service Centre) online, using your WACE/TISC login.
If you are not sure which one applies, check your school’s graduation pack or school email for “results and ATAR” instructions.
What you’ll usually need
Have these ready when you log in:
- Student number or exam ID (e.g., VCAA number, HSC number).
- Password or PIN created earlier in the year (sometimes your date of birth if you never changed it).
- The email you used to register for results services or tertiary applications.
If you have forgotten your password or email, most portals have “forgot password” links so you can reset via email or security questions rather than creating a new account.
If you still can’t find it
If the portal is not working or you never registered:
- Contact your school – year level coordinator or careers counsellor can confirm the correct portal and release date.
- Contact your state admissions/results centre (UAC, VTAC, QTAC, SATAC, TISC, etc.) via phone or email; they can help you recover your access.
- Check any official SMS or email you received around results day; many services send a direct link or even your ATAR in that message.
If you share your state (e.g., “VIC”, “NSW”, “QLD”), it is possible to give step‑by‑step instructions tailored to your exact system.
