where was detectorists filmed

Detectorists is set in the fictional town of Danebury in north Essex, but it was filmed mainly in the English county of Suffolk. Key locations include the market town of Framlingham (which stands in for Danebury), along with other Suffolk spots such as Orford, Great Glemham, Ipswich, Aldham, Wantisden, and Ufford. A notable exception actually filmed in Essex is Paper Mill Lock at Little Baddow, used for the scenes with Toni’s houseboat.
