where was malala shot

Malala Yousafzai was shot on a school bus in the city of Mingora, in the Swat Valley region of north‑west Pakistan, as she was traveling home from school on 9 October 2012.

She was specifically targeted by a Taliban gunman who boarded the bus, asked for her by name, and then shot her at close range, hitting her head and neck area.
