who invented the electric generator

The electric generator does not have a single “inventor,” but the first true electric generator is widely credited to Michael Faraday, who built it in 1831 using his discovery of electromagnetic induction. Later inventors such as Hippolyte Pixii, Werner von Siemens, Zénobe Gramme, Thomas Edison, and Nikola Tesla improved Faraday’s idea and turned it into practical machines that could power factories and cities.
