who owns culver's restaurants

Culver’s restaurants are still primarily owned by the Culver family through their private company, Culver Franchising System, LLC, with a minority stake held by the private‑equity firm Roark Capital Group since 2017. Almost all individual Culver’s locations are owned and operated by independent franchisees rather than the corporate parent; by 2025, about 99% of its more than 1,000 restaurants were franchise‑run, with only a handful owned by the company itself.
