A typical domestic cat’s brain is about 2 inches (around 5 cm) long, weighs roughly 25–30 grams, and is often compared in size to a large walnut or a human pinky finger. That works out to about 0.9–1% of the cat’s body weight, which is a smaller percentage than in humans but still packs a lot of neurons and complexity for such a small organ.
