Windsor Castle covers about 13 acres (around 5 hectares) of ground and has a built area of roughly 54,800 square meters (about 590,000 square feet). This makes it one of the largest and oldest continuously inhabited castles in the world.

If you picture it, 13 acres is roughly the size of 10–11 American football fields side by side, packed with state apartments, courtyards, the Round Tower, and St George’s Chapel.
