You can change a Roblox birthday for a minor only through Roblox’s age/birthday settings or by having a parent update it in Parental Controls, depending on how the account is set up. Roblox says if the birthday was entered wrong, you can edit it in Settings > Account Info and use the pencil icon next to the birthday; for a child account, a parent can log into their parent account and change the child’s birthday under Parental Controls.

What to do

  1. Log in to the Roblox account.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Go to Account Info.
  4. Tap or click the pencil icon next to the birthday.
  5. Enter the correct date and follow the prompts.

For a minor account

  • If the account is linked to a parent, the parent can sign in and update the child’s birthday in Parental Controls.
  • Roblox also says parents can only modify their child’s birthday once, so the change is limited.
  • If Roblox still treats the account as under 13 and the birthday is wrong, Roblox Support may ask for verification or age-check documentation.

Important note

If the birthday was set correctly and the account is genuinely under 13, don’t try to bypass age restrictions. Roblox’s age system is there for safety and feature access.

If a parent accidentally entered the wrong birth year for a child, the parent can log in, open the child’s account settings, and correct the birthday from the parent controls.
