Challenger Deep is about 10,900–10,935 meters deep, which is roughly 35,750–35,880 feet (around 6.8 miles) below sea level.

At that depth, the pressure is more than 1,000 times the air pressure at Earth’s surface, making it one of the most extreme environments humans have ever explored.
