Open Settings → Gameplay → Camera , then lower or turn off Maintain Camera Distance for the on-board camera. If the view still feels too close, set Camera Framing to High and tweak FOV a bit wider.

Fast fix

  1. Pause the game.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Open Gameplay.
  4. Select Camera.
  5. Turn Maintain Camera Distance off, or switch it between on/off to see which feels better.

Extra camera tweaks

  • Camera Framing: set it to High if the camera feels too low or glued to the board.
  • Field of View: raise it a little if you want a wider, less zoomed-in view.
  • On-board vs off-board: make sure you’re editing the on-board camera settings if the problem happens while skating.

Quick note

Some players also use the right stick button to toggle camera angle, but the real fix for “too close to the board” is usually in the camera settings menu.
