Tap Your Story at the top of your Facebook feed, open the story, then tap the three dots / Options and choose Delete photo or Delete video ; confirm the delete. Facebook’s help center says this removes the story from Facebook and Messenger too.

If you’re on mobile

  • Open Facebook.
  • Go to Your Story.
  • Open the specific story item.
  • Tap three dots.
  • Tap Delete and confirm.

If you’re on desktop

  • Go to the Stories section at the top of your feed.
  • Click Your Story.
  • Select the photo or video you want to remove.
  • Click Story options.
  • Choose Delete photo or Delete video.

Quick note
