You can apply to one Oxford college per undergraduate application cycle, though you can also make an open application and let Oxford assign you a college.

How it works

  • If you pick a college, that becomes your college preference on the UCAS form.
  • Oxford says you may still be shortlisted or offered a place by a different college in some cases.
  • If you do not choose a college, your application goes through the open application route and is allocated to a college with relatively fewer applications for your course that year.
