The Australian Open singles finals are played:

  • Men’s final : best of 5 sets (first to 3 sets wins).
  • Women’s final : best of 3 sets (first to 2 sets wins).

Doubles and mixed doubles finals are also best of 3 sets, with a 10‑point match tiebreak often used in place of a full third set depending on the event regulations.

In all events, if the final set reaches 6–6 in games, the Australian Open uses a 10‑point super tiebreak to decide the match.
