Different agencies handle these verticals:

  • Sports Authority of India (SAI) manages most of them, including State‑level Khelo India Centres, annual competitions, talent search, sports for women, academies, sports for persons with disabilities, rural/indigenous games, and school‑fitness.
  • The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports oversees play‑field development, infrastructure creation/upgradation, and “Sports for Peace and Development”.
  • Lakshmi Bai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) implements the Community Coaching Development vertical.
