A current Forever stamp costs 78 cents in the U.S.

For a standard one-ounce letter, that is the current First-Class Mail Forever stamp price. The USPS also says Forever stamps never expire, even if postage rates go up later.

  • Additional ounce: 29 cents.

Coming change

USPS has announced a planned increase to 82 cents for a Forever stamp starting July 12, 2026 , pending the scheduled rate change.
