A Magic potion in OSRS boosts your Magic level by 4 levels for a normal potion, and the divine version also gives +4 but lasts 5 minutes without draining below that boost.

Quick note

  • Normal Magic potion: +4 Magic
  • Divine Magic potion: +4 Magic for 5 minutes

Example

If your Magic is 85, a normal Magic potion raises it to 89 temporarily, which can help you cast spells that need a higher level.

Small caveat

Some community pages mention outdated or non-OSRS items with different bonuses, so for Old School RuneScape the relevant boost is the +4 shown above.
