Quick Scoop

To add maps in Meccha Chameleon, open the game’s Maps button from the main menu, which takes you to the Steam Workshop, then subscribe to the maps you want. After that, return to the game, and the subscribed maps should appear in the map selection screen when you host a match or create a server.

How it works

  1. Launch Meccha Chameleon.
  2. Go to the Maps option in the main menu.
  1. Browse the Steam Workshop for custom maps.
  1. Click Subscribe on the maps you want. That downloads them to your PC.
  1. Go back into the game and start a server or lobby.
  2. Pick the downloaded map from the map list before starting.

Useful notes

  • Some Workshop maps may not show preview screenshots inside the game, so you may need to rely on the Workshop page to remember what each map looks like.
  • If a download does not appear right away, restarting the game can help.
  • When you host for friends, the map may auto-download for them when they join.

Making your own maps

If you meant creating maps instead of installing them, the creator workflow uses the game’s official modding tools, with the map editor used to build layouts, place objects, set zones, test balance, and then publish to Steam Workshop.

Forum-style version

“Open the Maps button, subscribe to a Workshop map, then go back in-game and select it in your lobby.”

Bottom line

For most players, adding maps is just: Maps button → Steam Workshop → Subscribe → host game → select map.
