For most ID apps, you can’t directly edit your birthdate yourself if it’s tied to identity verification; the usual fix is to contact support and provide proof of your correct date of birth. For Apple ID specifically, the birthday can be edited in your account settings, but if the age would move below 13, Apple requires Family Sharing and parent/guardian approval.

What to do

  1. Open the app’s account or profile settings.
  2. Look for Personal information , Account info , or Birthday/Date of birth.
  3. Try to edit and save it.
  4. If the field is locked, contact support and ask what documents they accept, such as a passport, driving licence, or birth certificate.

Platform differences

  • Apple ID: Go to your Apple account details and update the birthday there; some changes, especially for younger ages, need extra approval.
  • myID app: Updating details depends on your ID strength matching the required level.
  • iD Mobile account: You need to contact support to correct date of birth, and they may ask for proof documents.

Important note

If this is an official identity or government ID app, changing a birthdate usually requires verification and cannot be done casually in-app. If the date is wrong because of a typo, support is still the safest route, because changing identity details without authorization can fail verification or lock the account.
