You can check the last number called on an iPhone by opening the Phone app and tapping Recents or Calls ; the most recent call appears at the top. Apple also notes you can tap the Filter button to narrow the list to calls, missed calls, unknown callers, or spam.

Steps

  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Tap Recents or Calls.
  3. Look at the top entry to see the latest incoming or outgoing number.
  4. Tap the small i or the contact name for more detail if needed.

If it is missing

  • iPhone call history may not show every older call, and some users report that if it is not in Recents , it may not be recoverable from the phone itself.
  • Your carrier’s app or online account often has a fuller call log, including placed and received calls, with dates and times.

If you meant the last number that called you , the same Recents list works, with the newest call at the top.
