You can see who reacted to an X chat message by opening the DM, finding the message, and clicking the reaction emoji under it; X then shows the list of people who used that emoji.

Steps

  1. Open X and go to Messages.
  2. Open the chat thread.
  3. Find the message with the emoji reaction.
  4. Click or tap the reaction emoji beneath the message.
  5. A list should appear showing who reacted, and in some views you can click the emoji to see users by reaction type.

Notes

  • This works on message-level reactions in chats, not just the total reaction count.
  • On some interfaces, hovering over the message or long-pressing it may also reveal reaction details.
  • If you only see the count and not names, the feature may be limited by the app version, device, or the specific chat view.

Quick example

If someone reacted with a heart and three people used it, clicking the heart under that message should open the names of those three users.
