To delete a comment you made on Facebook, open the post, find your comment, tap or click the menu next to it, and choose Delete. Facebook’s help page says you can also edit your comment from the same menu if you want to change it instead of removing it.

On phone

  1. Open the Facebook app.
  2. Go to the post where you commented.
  3. Press and hold your comment, or tap the three-dot/menu option beside it.
  4. Tap Delete and confirm.

On computer

  1. Open Facebook in a browser.
  2. Find the post with your comment.
  3. Click the menu next to the comment.
  4. Select Delete , then confirm.

Extra note

If the comment is on your own Facebook profile post, the steps are similar: go to the post, open the comment menu, and choose Delete.
