To delete files or objects in Roblox Studio, select the item in the Explorer or on the canvas, then press Delete on your keyboard, or right-click it and choose Delete. If you want to remove multiple items, you can select them together first and delete them the same way.

Fast steps

  1. Open your place in Roblox Studio.
  2. Open the Explorer panel if it is not already visible.
  3. Click the object, script, model, or folder you want to remove.
  4. Press Delete , or right-click and choose Delete.

Deleting folders

If you delete a folder in Explorer, its contents are removed with it. That is useful when cleaning out test assets, old scripts, or unused models. If you only want to clear the inside of a folder, make sure you are deleting the correct item so you do not remove something important by accident.

If something will not delete

Sometimes an item is hard to remove because it is locked, part of a plugin, or tied to a running script. In that case, stop the play session, check whether the object is inside another container, and try deleting it again from Explorer. If you meant uninstalling Roblox Studio itself rather than deleting objects inside a project, Roblox’s support article says you can uninstall the app and remove leftover files from your system folder.

Quick note

If your goal is to clean up a project, deleting items inside Studio is the normal method; if your goal is to remove Roblox Studio from your computer, that is a separate uninstall process.
