The easiest way is to use Apple’s Find My feature on another Apple device or at iCloud.com to see your iPad’s current or last known location. If the iPad is offline, Apple will show the last known location or “No location found” depending on whether location data was recently available.

Steps

  1. Open the Find My app on another iPhone, iPad, or Mac signed in to your Apple ID.
  1. Tap Devices , then select your iPad from the list.
  1. Check the map for its location; if it’s offline, look for the last known location instead.
  1. If needed, tap Play Sound to help find it nearby, or Mark as Lost to lock it and display a message.

Using a browser

You can also go to iCloud’s Find My page in a web browser, sign in with your Apple ID, and select the iPad from All Devices to see its location.

Important notes

  • This works only if Find My was turned on before the iPad went missing.
  • Apple says you can turn on Find My network and Send Last Location on supported devices to improve offline tracking in the future.
  • If you think the iPad was stolen, use Lost Mode and consider erasing it only if you’re sure you no longer need to recover it.

Quick check

If you want the shortest path: open Find My > Devices > your iPad > map/last known location.

TL;DR: Use Find My on another Apple device or iCloud.com, then open your iPad in Devices to see its last known location if it’s offline.
