how to get a new rod of ivandis
To get a new Rod of Ivandis, you need to remake the Silvthrill rod and then dunk it in the River Salve at the proper well; the usual method is to speak to Veliaf after reaching the point in the Myreque questline where the rod is needed, then craft the rod again if you lost or destroyed it.
How to make it again
- Get the required quest progress for the Myreque line, since the rod is tied to In Aid of the Myreque and later uses.
- Make the rod mold if you do not already have it, using soft clay on Ivandis’ tomb under Canifis.
- Use a furnace with a silver bar, mithril bar, and sapphire to make the Silvthrill rod , then cast level 1 enchant on it.
- Bring a rope and use the Silvthrill rod on the well at Paterdomus / the River Salve area to convert it into the Rod of Ivandis.
If you lost the old one
- Players report that you can talk to the relevant Myreque NPC again with the needed components in your inventory to make another one.
- If you are past the quest step, the safest route is simply to recreate it from scratch using the same materials and steps.
Materials
- Soft clay.
- Silver bar.
- Mithril bar.
- Sapphire.
- Rope.
- Level 1 enchant runes, plus the normal spellbook.
Practical note
The Rod of Ivandis is used for vampire-related content and later quest progression, so it is worth keeping an extra Silvthrill rod or remembering the mold location if you expect to need a replacement.
TL;DR: remake the Silvthrill rod, enchant it, then use it on the River Salve well with rope to turn it into a new Rod of Ivandis.
