The Part Rod in Fisch is earned by completing BasePart’s three quests in the Underground Music Venue: get an exploded tire , a part rock , and a part blue whale. The usual route is: unlock the Music Venue near Crystal Cove, talk to BasePart, then turn in each quest item to receive the rod at the end.

Quick Scoop

  1. Unlock the Underground Music Venue.
    Go to Crystal Cove and use the required chaotic relic/puzzle access to reach the underground area where BasePart is located.
  1. Quest 1: Exploded Tire.
    Equip the Boom Ball rod, use garbage/magnet-style bait as recommended by guides, and fish for a tire until it rolls the exploded mutation.
  1. Quest 2: Part Rock.
    Use the Part bait you get from the first quest, then fish with a low-tier rod like Training or Dave’s rod in the Sunstone cave/abundance area until you catch a rock with the Part mutation.
  1. Quest 3: Part Blue Whale.
    Trigger or wait for Whale Migration, use Tempest/Sundial totems if needed, equip your best luck rod, use Part bait, and catch a blue whale with the Part mutation.

Practical Tips

  • The first two quests are much easier if you use the exact rod/bait combo the guides mention, because the goal is to bias the catch pool toward trash or simple items.
  • For the whale quest, many guides say storm setup helps, and the Part bait from earlier quests is important for getting the mutation.
  • After you turn in the final whale, BasePart rewards the Part Rod.

  1. Get into the Underground Music Venue.
  1. Finish the exploded tire task first.
